HI-S.F. CITY CENTER
Located at an ideal starting point for exploration, SF-City Center is a Frisbees throw away from dozens of San Franciscos renowned restaurants and riveting theatrical performance halls. The hostel is just a short walk from the beautifully restored City Hall, weekly open-air farmers markets that offer a delectable array of native fruits and vegetables, the famed cable cars, and the bustling shops of Japan Town. Union Square and Chinatown are a 15-minute walk to the north, and Fishermans Wharf, the Mission District, and Ocean Beach are all easily accessible with convenient public transportation.
SF-City Center offers travelers more than just prime location though, the elegantly renovated historical building is a delight in itself, with a beautiful mahogany balcony, a cozy soon-to-be juice-bar and a decidedly San Franciscan feel. Converted from the Atherton Hotel, the hostel has rooms with four or five beds and private rooms with one double bed, each with an en suite bath. SF-City Center has all the amenities hostellers expect, with 262 beds spread out over seven floors, an open kitchen for cooking, lockers for storage and 24-hour access. An internet lounge and comfy antique-chair-filled common area are in the works and will be ready for the first guests who want to relax after a day of exploring in the California sun.
