This picturesque venue offers ample character, from the ornate architectural details on its exterior to its elegantly restored interior. As you enter the building, you're greeted by a grand entryway with high ceilings, luxurious wood paneling, a detailed glass skylight above, and antique touches all around. Beyond the photogenic foyer, parlor, and sitting room, other highlights of the building include a recently remodeled kitchen, a spacious dining room, an outdoor garden patio, several private rooms, a wraparound veranda, and an outdoor patio and garden where event attendees can mingle in the Sacramento sun.

There are two options for renting the hostel: the whole venue can be rented and accommodate up to 100 people for an event and 78 overnight guests, or rooms can be rented for a day for events such as meetings, luncheons, and receptions. For both types of rentals, you'll have access to audio/visual equipment, free WiFi, set up and tear down, and coffee/tea/water. Full-house rentals also include a continental breakfast and 10 off-street private parking spaces. For day rentals, you have the option to rent out individual rooms or a combination of spaces to suit the needs of your event. If you need assistance with catering or event planning, the hostel staff can help you make arrangements, or you can bring in your own planner or caterer.

As interim Sacramento Hostel manager Casey Maloney notes, "The location is great as well -- it's in the heart of downtown close to shopping, dining, and entertainment venues." There's also easy access to public transportation and an abundance of local historical attractions such as the grand California State Capitol Museum and the quaint streets of Old Sacramento.
