The Point Reyes Hostel is now open all day!
Posted by admin on Apr 19, 2012
We’re happy to announce that Point Reyes Hostel guests now have all-day access. Previously, due to limited staffing, the hostel closed its doors from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. — but no more!
With the opening of the hostel’s new building, we’re now able to accommodate guests during the day as well. So if rain threatens, have no fear — you can stay cozy and warm by the hostel’s woodstove until the skies clear.
The reception desk is now open from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 - 10 p.m. for guest service or reservations. Check-in is available from 4:30 - 10 p.m., and check-out is by 10:30 a.m.
Built to LEED Silver Standards, the hostel’s new building consists of four private rooms, a communal kitchen and common area, and a sundeck. Check out our updated video of the space (new footage starts at 1:17).
The Point Reyes Hostel is the only non-camping accommodation in Point Reyes National Seashore. While staying in the park, enjoy great hiking and wildlife walks (as recommended by our staff) or head out to Tomales Bay and try stand-up paddleboarding. In addition, Point Reyes Station is known throughout the region for their fabulous food.
Summer is approaching fast, so reserve your stay today!
Please note: All-day access is available free to individual travelers only. There is an additional day-use fee for groups of 8 or more.
