Meet at the San Francisco Downtown Hostel.

$18 for bike rental (with $100 deposit); $11 for optional ferry ride.

Ellysa takes you on a bike ride from Downtown San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito and back.

Stops include the Ferry Building, Fisherman's Wharf, Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, Crissy Field, The Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge.

This event is open only to guests of the San Francisco Downtown Hostel.

Mel takes you on a scenic bike ride over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, and a ferry ride back to the city. The first stop is one of our bike rental partners, where we'll pick up bikes and helmets.

Then we'll hit the road for a relaxing ride past the Palace of Fine Arts, through the Presidio, and over the iconic Golden Gate Bridge -- an incredible experience for anyone!

San Francisco's cool and windswept bay awaits a rainbow fleet of sails, while her waterfront prepares for a crowded and colorful marina during this summer’s three grand races. The 30th annual Louis Vuitton Cup, which determines who races in the America's Cup Finals, kicks off the on July 4 and continues through August. September begins with the first-ever Redbull Youth America's Cup featuring the best young sailors from around the world.

A secret jewel of the Bay Area, Point Bonita is still an active lighthouse maintained by the U.S. Coast Guard. Discover Point Bonita's wild landscape, geology, and fascinating history.

The lighthouse is reached by a half-mile trail, with a tunnel that is open only on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Point Bonita docents are on hand along the trail, and the setting offers breathtaking views.

Where

Point Reyes Lighthouse Visitor Center

Experience the Point Reyes Lighthouse as many keepers have over the years, watching as the lighthouse's beacon shines over the sea.

This popular ranger-led tour is available Thursdays to Mondays, from mid-April through December. Start times vary depending on sunset.

The Lighthouse Visitor Center is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday - Monday, year-round.

If You Go

Every night during the summer, the lobby at the City Center Hostel transforms into an old-fashioned movie house!

Enjoy a campy '70s-'90s horror flick, projected onto a 6-foot-wide screen, and pretend to shield your eyes from the cheesy gore of The Lost Boys, Scream, or Tales From the Crypt, to name a few possibilities. So zombie-walk down to the lobby to catch a classic flick and snack on free popcorn, cookies, and soda.
