California Coastal Conservancy Funds Initial Stage of Hostel Development in Redwood National and State Parks

The California Coastal Conservancy has awarded funding up to $144,500 to the National Park Service for site selection, environmental review, and preliminary design of a tourist hostel to be located in Redwood National and State Parks in Del Norte County. Final site selection and designs are scheduled to be completed in July 2012.

Point Reyes Hostel Set to Expand with New LEED-certified Facility

The National Park Service at Point Reyes National Seashore is breaking ground on an extension to the Point Reyes Hostel. The new facility will be constructed according to LEED green building standards, and will include four private family rooms, a guest kitchen and lounge, as well as living quarters for hostel staff.
