OHA Program Overview

For nearly a century, the international hostel movement has gathered people of the world together in an atmosphere of friendship and respect, expanding their worlds through educational travel.

The Outdoor Hostel Adventure (OHA) program aims to foster appreciation, exploration, and stewardship of the natural & human world by developing a sense of place and value of responsible, meaningful travel and intercultural exchange. Through experiential learning, participants will gain an understanding of the basic principles of ecology and human impact on the environment as well as develop skills in global citizenship, inquiry & analysis, and team building.

Each unique experiential education program delivers curriculum focused on environmental education, intercultural understanding, and interpersonal skills development.

Our mission is to help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling.
